All,

I have come to a big decision that will affect my internet forums. Running all the forums is taking up too much of my spare time, so much so that I cannot keep up with the mods and work they all require.

The forums (all of them) are quite a burden and I spend a lot of time worrying about them, I really should have stopped running forums earlier, but it is difficult to leave something that you worked hard to set up, however I do need to get my life back :)

I am sorry to close the site when we just seemed to be increasing our membership. However, I am sure many of you are already members of Mazda3forums and Mazda6forums - so you'll still have somewhere to chat (heck I need to chat to other 3MPS folks anyway!)

I don't think that was written very well, but as I couldn't sleep I thought I would get up and type this :)

Sorry, that all sounds so rubbish.

Thank you all for your contributions to Pure-MPS.

Xorro

In response to PMs, I will not be handing the site over as 'Pure-MPS' was something I wanted to do, however this does leave the way for anyone else who wants to set up an MPS-related site. (As long as its not called Pure-MPS :))

This is a real shame as this is an excellent site.

I fully understand your decision though as it must be very time consuming sorting things on your own.

I am sure with some of the experiance and help some others members could have given it would have made life easier but ultimately its your baby and you have the difficult decision to make as to what is best.

Thanks for all the time you have spent running things and taking abuse for things we shouldn't say!

All the best........

Crikey. :shock Sorry that it all got too much for you. I'm sure you could hand the site payment over to a few of us and appoint a few more mods. That would leave you to feel less stressed about it all?

In my opinion its been the best community i have ever been a part of. Obviously i will do anything to save it but if its your final decision to shut it then thanks for everything mate. Will really miss the place and all the members i have met over the time of my membership.

Thanks again Xorro. :)

:yeahthat only been here a short while but enjoyed my time on this forum. seems a shame to let it go. if you could get a few people to take over as mods and run the site, take the pressure off you that would be great :D

I do have quite a large mod team over on the Hyundai Coupe site, but it doesn't really take the pressure off, I still have to keep up with code mods etc.

I think the phrase I was looking for last night is that "I am retiring from hosting internet forums"

I haven't quite worked out how to tell the Coupe crowd yet - there's quite a lot of them!

Thank you all for being a great bunch, I have enjoyed your company and I hope to see you around on another bit of the 'net :)
