Just blinkin do it and don't worry about a thing. Not gonna mud sling here but re-scaling the MAF via a tune (remap) is a process of altering the programmed relationship between MAF sensor voltage and the grams per second of air entering the engine. It can be done, I had it done!

You are all talking in code..... I will fit and see what happens, I presume I just take it easy for a while and let the ecu get used to things!

Correct, disconnect battery before fitting, install parts, reconnect battery.....job done. Does'nt matter about taking it easy straight away.

At the end of the day it won't kill your engine so don't worry. Thats what Lambda sensors are for, if the mixture becomes lean then it will adjust fuelling accordingly and therefore the STFT and in turn the LTFT will adjust. When you've had the battery disconnected the PCM will go through a MAF learn during the first drive cycle so it will be fine. FIT IT - And enjoy!

i have hit a brick wall with fitting the corksport i followed the instructions but when it came to removing the ECU cover i could not remove it, in the picture it looked liked you just pulled it off, but on my ECU there are cone type nuts across the top? I did not want to force anything. Also i looked at the tubes that led off the turbo inlet and one of them appeared too small to fit onto the crank case vent. In the instructions the crank case vent looks smaller than on my MPS? I think i am going to sell it on, and get an alternative such as a COBB or CPE nano, as this will be alot easier for me to fit ( Not removing ECU, turbo inlet etc) You may think i am a complete moron, but i do have a bit of DIY / mechanical knowledge, such as working on motorbikes, changing discs/pads, but since i have just spent 10k on a car, i didn't want to be breaking ECU's etc! I am also very sorry to see this forum closing, shall i post the Corksport on here or move to another forum or Ebay?
