Hi, guys, I cant get used to my clutch , it snatches really bad especially in lower gears i am worried that this will effect the drive train and the rear diff and mounts, also changing from 1st to 2nd is getting more difficult even when the car is fully warmed up. I have heard of a clutch TSB but am i correct in thinking that this is only available while you are still under warranty (mine is on a 55 plate so warranty is expired) Thanks, Mike

This will only be carried out if the car is still under warranty, not unless you want to pay

Looks like i am out of luck, shame the previous owner didn't get it done while under warranty. I cant see how such an aggressive clutch will not cause damage good job i took out a warranty with warranty wise, might be needing it.

I know what you mean about the snatchy clutch doing damage but, if it was the case, I think Mazda would have issued a TSB.
Short of getting the clutch done, you could lower the operating height of the pedal so that the snatch doesn't happen so high up. It involves moving the clutch pedal stop in a bit AND adjusting the actuating rod to allow the clutch to fully engage. A competent mechanic could do it in about 5 minutes. It is not a cure but it makes it more comfortable.
Best of luck.

Hey thanks Foxy,
The cars due for its service in march, so i think i will ask the garage to have a look at adjusting the clutch, at least it might be a little easier to drive around town.

Best of luck. Essentially what the adjustment does is lower the arch of clutch operation. If you don't have any luck, I may be able to find a step by step guide of how to do it yourself from a US Mazda forum.
