The insurance is due on the Mazda3, the quote came through at £586, but after ringing them up they got it down to £415.
Still a bit more than I was hoping but cheaper places often don't offer the same protection of have some bizarre way of calculating NCD etc.

Mines up soon too. will have to see what deal I can get. Just out of interest, how many ncd do you have and what company did you find best? Unless it was diamond or sheilas (both useless to me)!

I use Sky Insurance as they do a 10% discount for members of my Hyundai Coupe forum - maybe I should ask if they'd like to offer the same discount for here?
They are a small team, who actually understand cars and modifications (if you have them), always seem to be friendly.

You must live in a dodgy area. JOKE! Mine on the 6MPS was due a couple of weeks back. Me and the wife (34/32) in the North East, fully comp, protected NCD through ESure - £340. I thought that was bloody reasonable!

lol. I have 9 years NCD, I'm 33 and female. One SP30. Plus the O/H who is 42. I might try e-sure as I've not paid Sky yet. *edit* they came out at £490

Pah! I knew that Northants was a dodgy place. Oh and your other-half is too old...that causes higher premiums. *runs*

I found it difficult to get insurance as so many places do not cover vehicles with mods that increase power. Got mine with Norwich union (Aviva) who were by far the cheapest i could find this time around at £520. I'm 26yr old with 5 years no claims discount. Not bad considering the performance of the car even though it is dearer than it was last year.

Im 25,4 years no claims, no points (touch wood) no mods on the car and its coming out at close to £600 (unprotected NCD) via swiftcover, although esure was only a couple of quid dearer.
Quick question actually, it will cost £70ish to protect my NCD. Is it worth doing so? The reason I ask, if I was to make a claim this year, I will still have to tell them that I have made a claim in the last year regardless of fault, which bumps up your premium. So is it actually worth the extra cash?
Not that I am planning on claiming.
